The East Festival in London will feature Pete Fowler keeping festival fans updated via his freshly painted Tweeting Bike.
It’s a novel way to promote the festival and the @eastfestival twitter address as no doubt Pete will attract attention as he rides through the east london district.
You can check out Pete’s Flickr photo set here and follow the overall festival news via @eastfestival, or via the cleverly named #twike hashtag.
The agency behind this initiative is Chance Collective #twike

SplashCast has announced a partnership with Hulu that will allow people to embed Hulu shows into the SplashCast widget. I wonder if this will allow non-US based people a “work-around” giving them access to Hulu?
Note: it’s very easy to make a SplashCast widget (see below).
During October 2008, 99.5 million viewers watched 5.3 billion videos on YouTube.com (53.2 videos per viewer) http://bit.ly/w82x

A recent study from Unisys found that 7% of 1200 surveyed Australians currently used their mobiles for web transactions.
The study was part of a global study of over 13,000 participants across 14 countries. 59% said they would not trust their mobile devices to provide a secure transaction
Online transactions using mobiles are gradually overcoming concerns about security in much the same way consumers exercised caution before embracing web based transactions.
Fleishman-Hillard Inc. and Harris Interactive have published an excellent white paper which examines how the internet influences the modern consumer.
The study is titled “Digital Life Index Study” and highlights how the internet influences shopping behaviours, making particular comparisons between the UK, Germany and France.
4 key insights of the study were:-
Digital Influence:
The Internet is by far the most important medium in the lives of European consumers — but companies are underinvesting in that influence.
Digital media allows the creation of some innovative tools to help with filtering large list into a manageable and personalised selection.
Real Estate matching is a challenge that most of us have been through at least once, and one that real estate agents solve with an exchange of location information for customer needs parameters such as property requirements and price.

Popular virtual world Second Life is now accessible from 40 mobile devices, with support for additional 3G and Wi-Fi enabled devices including the iPhone planned in the near future.
This is possible thanks to a free beta application available at Vollee,

The technology streams high-end services designed for the PC to mobiles adapting screen size and uses compression to reduce bandwidth.
This type of service will impress die hard MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Playing Games) enthusiasts, but technologies like Vollee could potentially provide more reach to business web applications.
Imagine you are in the delivery business, and want to show that you deliver anywhere in the world.
DHL, with the help of a swedish artist Erik Nordenankar, and a GPS device have managed to create what they describe as the biggest drawing in the world.
The website documents the creation, along with detailed instructions and delivery documents, and even contains video footage of the drawings journey.
Most of us remember the Mission Impossible series which immortalised the saying “This message will self destruct”.
Deadline Couriers created an effective PR stunt by building a billboard message that included a 8 day countdown timer. At the end of the 8 days it literally blew up.
I just love the way the message ties to the service offered by the brand !
